Business Intelligence and Analytics

In-depth Information meticulously and systematically embedded.

Business Intelligence in Cubivue is not a project. It is based on an array of ubiquitous digital components tied in with the actions and procedures that make up your entire business operation.

Triggers, flags, and watchdogs - though essential for operations - serve a different purpose than Business Intelligence. They may contribute to aggregated data, but they are not, by themselves, analytical insights.

Avoid the trap of trying to do the wrong and cumbersome thing in an easier way. Look, instead for a solution that helps and even encourages you to continuously improve your processes.

Take a look at our one-pager on how we think Business Intelligence, below

Data collection:

  1. Consistency: Your data must be consistent. Be careful with conclusions based on data samples with too many voids; the “holes” in the data stream may actually conceal structural problems in themselves.
  2. Credibility: It feels almost superfluous to mention it, but spending time on analysing the validity of your data once in a while is often time well spent. Do you measure/register correctly?
  3. Comparability: Another fundamental issue is that of comparability. We all know the meaning of the phrase about comparing apples with pears. For instance: average speed measured at 02 a.m. is obviously not the same at 09 a.m. Collect what you SHOULD and not just what is readily available.
  4. Natural actions: This is crucial for any Business Intelligence set-up. Your data collection should not rely on “somebody registering something, somewhere” on a regular basis. It should not rely on a delivery guy, remembering to report that the road had been blocked by the fire brigade, or that the letterbox had been removed. Those systems always break down. Cubivue offers you a solution where the relevant data collection is built into the entire fabric of our product-suite.

Enrichment: Ever so often you will see data collected from which you cannot really derive anything directly. In order to have a useful analysis, you will need to enrich that data by subjecting it to various calculations and algorithms. As an example; Cubivue can convert your distance traversed into a - CO2 consumption per stop - assessment if this is what you wish.

Correlation: When you correlate data from diverse sources, you may be able to see patterns in your business that are otherwise impossible to spot – before it is too late that is. If you can pinpoint the right observations to correlate, you can find tremendous value. Could enhanced service and/or expanded product range result in higher customer retention? Could digitalisation of your Last Hands decrease your Total Admin. Cost?

Presentation: The actual software-choice for presentation is not so much our concern. Many solutions can do much the same. Our focus is on the quality of the input and value of the contents. Pivot Tables, Pie Charts, Graphs etc.; our experience is that those solutions are so much the same, that we have concluded to focus on making interfacing as easy as possible.

Improvement Ad Infinitum: Reality is full of unknowns. We are strong believers in setting yourself up for continuous iterative improvement rather than a one-off deployment. That is what we can offer you with Cubivue.
